At Limitless, we aim to inspire all young people to get involved in sport and form healthy habits for life. As part of this goal we run a yearly Limitless Ambassador programme, where we support around 40 young athletes to achieve their sporting goals.

Our ambassadors are chosen through a competitive application process, and we look for young people who embody our values: participation, well-being, commitment to yourself and your teammates, and fun! They agree to share their sporting journeys with us and allow us to report them through our social media channels – providing greater exposure and opportunities for connection for them, and showing our followers the kit as it’s used by real young people.

We welcome ambassadors from a huge range of sports, which in 2023 included rugby, cricket, fencing, water polo, netball, lacrosse, tennis, swimming, equestrian, kayaking, judo, golf, dinghy sailing, modern pentathlon and much more! Every ambassador receives a range of Limitless kit throughout the year and we love to share their social media posts on our feeds, cheering them on as they work towards their goals. The programme fosters a sense of community and mutual encouragement among the team, where they celebrate each other’s successes and work through their struggles together. We also partner with the Mintridge Foundation to provide online presentations from successful sportspeople, aiming to inspire and answer any questions from our ambassadors.

Limitless also sponsors a mentoring programme through the Mintridge Foundation for one lucky young athlete: in 2021, for example, cricketer Ben Smith guided our ambassador George through six months of remote calls, personalised programs, goal-setting and valuable advice. Their in-depth conversations, combined with George’s positive and proactive attitude, dramatically improved his approach to cricket and other sporting challenges. George said at the end of the year:

“This programme has helped me to become a better cricketer - I have scored over double the runs that I have ever scored in a single season this year…I set a goal to get an adult half-century, and I managed to achieve my goal and score 50 runs. Ben has helped me to find positive spins on negative situations, especially when getting low scores, which has really helped me!”
